78 Million baby boomers is a big market!
There are 78 million Baby Boomers (people born between
1946 and 1964) in the U.S. The #1 area for this group, making up 32%
of their population, is Seattle-Tacoma-Bremerton. There are 71 million
Generation X people, children of Baby Boomers. Marketers have learned
not to take these segments for granted, assuming they will spend because
of their size — they need to be actively marketed. How about an

Bowling & Movies - Possibly a match made in heaven
Since they are competitors of bowling, here are some
movie facts. 74% of Americans attend movies annually, compared to 20%
who go bowling. 60% of American moviegoers say movie tickets are not
reasonably priced. 89% of moviegoers buy at the concession stand. 55%
of young singles are the most frequent attendees, going to movies two
times a month and spending $12 to $30 per month at the movies. Get these
people to bowl after the movies.
A movie industry report says to generate more revenue,
the theatres have to get more people in the doors or encourage people
already there to spend more money. This is exactly what the Kaploe Marketing
Group has been preaching to our clients for years!
