National Bowling Day is coming and no doubt Strike Ten has lots of good ideas to help you promote it, so check out their website.

I wanted to share another promotional program that I have tested in several centers and it went “gangbusters.”  So if you want a quick, easy to do, bullet proof program that has zero cost, well maybe $20 to $50 bucks, then please read this promotional offer.

Headline “Will You Celebrate National Bowling Day With Us By Helping Our Brave And Bold American War Veterans While Also Having Great Family Fun?

Alternative Headline: Here’s How To Have Great Family Fun, Celebrate National Bowling Day And Help Raise Money for Our Brave American Veterans Too.

The Offer: Bowl for 90 minutes, up to 5 people per lane for $20 to $35 (depending on your market) including shoe rentals on National Bowling Day August 11th from (open) to cosmic bowling.  Starts on Saturday August 11th AND on we’re going to continue the celebration on Sunday August 12th from open to (whatever time you want to shut It down).

The Sizzle: And If You Buy An Extra Half Hour Of Bowling For Just $5 Or $10, We Will Donate $5 Dollars To BVL.


  • In center flyers (on setees all week prior to the august 11th and 12th weekend.
  • Send emails to your entire data base of adults 18+ Thursday and Saturday at 530am (you can schedule it in advance)
  • Use the logos of National Bowling Day and BVL along with picture(s) of people bowling
  • Create a video for posting  on Facebook Facebook posts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 530am
  • Facebook will let you choose the demographics of the market and use key words as follows:
    • 18+ adults, (males, females), living within 5 (10) miles of your center having a median household income of $50K (or whatever your market is)
    • Use key words like “bowling”, “veterans”, “fund raising”, “family fun”, “date night”, “entertainment and fun”, “money saving offers,” “etc.,”
  • Create a “landing page which would lead people to click on it from your Facebook post by creating a link.  Your landing page is your flyer. Be sure to include a description of what BVL does
    • Facebook posts should have a video or copy with images of National Bowling Day logo, BVL and people bowling along with a message that says:
      • “Bring your family and friends bowling this weekend, save a bunch and help us support our disabled American Veterans, Saturday August 11th and Sunday August 12th from (time) to (time).”
      • Just $xx per lane (up to 5 people on a lane) for 90 minutes of fun.
      • Buy an extra half hour for $XX and we’ll donate it all to BVL* for more information about this program visit www.centername.com
