(Note: This isn’t my normal type blog, but it is important enough that I wanted to share it with you. Thanks)
14 years ago, my good friend and colleague Stacy Karten was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. While never letting it be know what pain he was in, he soldiered on every day servicing our clients, making on site visits and doing the detailed work nightly it took for proprietors to be successful.
If I remember correctly, Stacy started his career in Public Relations with a minor league baseball team somewhere in the southern part of the United States. From there, he might have had another job or two, but I first met him when he was Promotion Director at Fairlanes Bowling, than over a 100 center chain.
His creativity and attention to detail were beyond reproach and he stayed with Fairlanes for more than 10 years, maybe longer. From there, he and I hooked up and we formed the Kaploe Marketing Group and Stacy was my first VP. At the time he was also the first Kaploe Marketing agent!
I’m not here to tell you what a great guy Stacy is. Many of you know that already and for those who don’t, trust me, he is. World class.
Stacy and his team “Stacy’s Movers & Shakers” are conducting their annual fund raising effort for this year’s Pacing for Parkinson’s on Saturday, October 20. So far the movers and shakers have raised $8,295,
You can make a difference by joining the fight against Parkinson’s disease and help Stacy and thousands of others to defeat this disease
